One of the most anticipated matches at this year’s AEW WrestleDream was the four-way bout for the TBS championship. In the match, reigning champion Persephone took on Dani Luna, Queen Aminata, and Hyan. While the match was undoubtedly hard-fought, its ending likely came as little surprise to wrestling fans.

Persephone retains the AEW TBS title at WrestleDream

Persephone ultimately won the match, decisively beating her three opponents and establishing herself as a dominant champion. Following her victory, as Persephone lifted her title, one of the color commentators beautifully noted, “And Persephone, the goddess of the Underworld, returns to the darkness with her two titles.”

Like most of the matches on this card, the four-way competition was incredibly entertaining from beginning to end. Initially, a brawl broke out that led to the champion using a series of hip tosses against her challengers. Later, the three aspirants succeeded in throwing Persephone out of the ring, clearing the path to focus on each other.

Ultimately, Persephone made her way back into the ring and played a critical role in the chaos that followed. Hyan executed perfect spears on multiple opponents. Meanwhile, Luna delivered a suplex from the ropes, and Aminata countered with a thrust kick and a double stomp. Persephone came in and broke the pin. Later, she interrupted another pin after Hyan performed a face buster on Luna.

Eventually, Persephone subdued Hyan and executed a moonsault from the top turnbuckle. The referee then counted to three, and Persephone retained her title.

Notably, Persephone has been part of the AEW roster since 2025. She won the AEW TBS title after defeating Maya World at ALL In in August 2026. Since then, she has been a fighting champion. She first beat Luna at AEW All Out in September before her WrestleDream victory.
