Clee Hill Women and Tenbury record impressive rugby wins

On a cold misty afternoon at Clee Hill the home team proved too strong for the visitors, who prior to the match were top of the league table having played two more matches than Clee.

Clee Hill tries came from Emily Edwards, Daisy Hamer, Fern Bayliss, Amy Godding and Hebe Ellis, with Edwards adding two conversions.

Clee Hill led 24-12 at half-time but the second half was a 5-5 all draw with each side scoring an unconverted try.

Telford pressed hard in the second half and Clee Hill defended well to keep them to just one score.

Meanwhile, Tenbury Rugby provided a statement victory in the Counties 4 Midlands West (South West) as they destroyed Bromyard seconds 60-12.

Callum Spires score three of Tenbury’s 10 tries, while Harley Griffin and Louis Bourdeau added two each, and Ben Price, Harry Bradley and Ricky Evans also crossed the whitewash. Five conversions were added by man of the match Jonty Morgan.
