According to the newspaper Tribuna, citing reports from Calciomercato, Milan are scouring the market for a top-level defender and have made Jules Kounde one of their primary targets. Chelsea had already attempted to secure his signature prior to his switch to FC Barcelona, whilst Bayern Munich are also keeping close tabs on the situation.
Kounde has lost his status as an undisputed starter under Hansi Flick, with Eric Garcia increasingly favoured at right-back. The Frenchman, equally adept at centre-back, is currently sidelined with no definitive timetable for his return.
Despite mounting interest from abroad, Barcelona have no intention of selling him. Under contract until June 2030, the player has likewise shown no desire to leave. While an irresistible financial package could potentially alter the landscape, none of the interested parties have tabled an official bid so far.
