Cricket South Africa (CSA) have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will begin on November 15. The South Africa National Cricket Team is coming into this Test series with great confidence after their thrilling 2-1 Test series victory over Australia at home.
The South African team will now look to continue their winning run and maintain their position as the world's top-ranked Test team. Captain Temba Bavuma will once again take charge of the side as they aim to get those crucial WTC points against Bangladesh at home. Earlier, Temba Bavuma achieves rare Test milestone at 36, becomes South Africa’s second-oldest to 4,000 runs.
The first Test between South Africa and Bangladesh will be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from November 15 to 19. The second and final Test will take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion from November 23 to 27.
One of the biggest highlights of the squad announcement is the return of Tony de Zorzi. The left-handed batter has recovered from his hamstring injury, which forced him to miss the recent Test series against Australia. His return will give the team another strong batting option.
Young batter Zubayr Hamza has also returned to the Proteas Test side after almost two years. But the star fast bowler Lungi Ngidi failed to attain the match fitness as he continues his rehabilitation. After the Australia Test, Ngidi will also miss another two Tests at home.
