The New York Giants are among the teams exploring the market for defensive tackles as the November 10 NFL trade deadline approaches.

In his latest trade deadline notes for Sports Illustrated, Albert Breer detailed the blockbuster move that sent Titans All-Pro Jeffery Simmons to the Bears, then turned to other potential buyers still active around the league.

The Giants and Jaguars are sniffing around on defensive tackles.

We now know that the Giants were among the teams in on Simmons before his trade, with head coach John Harbaugh reaching out to Titans ownership.

For the Giants, the interest aligns with their current roster construction. After trading Dexter Lawrence earlier this year, New York has leaned on veterans such as D.J. Reader and Shelby Harris, but depth at the position remains a question as the team sits in contention in the NFC East.

Other clubs, including the Vikings, have also inquired about interior linemen, underscoring demand across the position. With high-profile options such as Simmons now off the board, any Giants pursuit would likely focus on more modest upgrades that fortify the rotation without a heavy draft-capital cost.
