Fraser Thornton, an Executive Director and board member at Rangers, was in attendance at the meeting on Monday. The event was organised by the Scottish Asian Business Chamber, in collaboration with Rathbones.
Images from the event surfaced on social media, showing Thornton in attendance. He also gave a rousing speech to the attendees, explaining his journey in accountancy, and he also shared leadership qualities that he gained by leading multiple drinks brands and moving to Trinidad and Jamaica.
Much like Andrew Cavenagh, Thornton has played a hands-on role at the club since the takeover last summer. He was appointed to the board at the start of the calendar year and has been one of the key decision-makers behind the scenes.
Since joining Rangers in 2024, he has served in different roles, and despite being a part of the previous regime, he is seen as an important figure by Cavenagh, his consortium and the 49ers Enterprises. Thornton has been the Chairman and interim Chief Executive as well, and is now a board member along with being a director.
