The prospect of running back Jonathan Taylor leaving the Indianapolis Colts in another trade is starting to become more and more likely.

This week has seen a major change in the mindset of the Colts after they sanctioned the departures of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. However, there were a lot of questions remaining over whether Taylor would follow the two veterans out of the door.

Now, it seems as if the answer is swaying towards a yes. Adam Schefter has reported that the Colts are now opening themselves up to the notion of allowing Taylor to leave Indianapolis in another considerable trade.

What Carlie Irsay-Gordon spoke to Jonathan Taylor about amid Colts trade rumours

The report from Schefter on Saturday morning claimed the Colts are now considering the value that their star running back could provide them ahead of next year’s draft. With the Colts’ season already looking like one to forget, Taylor’s potential exit is something being considered.

Schefter suggested Irsay-Gordon met with Taylor earlier in the week to discuss his future. It is said that the Colts’ owner has a strong affinity for Taylor, but the team is aware of their current situation. However, they do still wish for Taylor to lead their rebuild.

The NFL insider’s sources have claimed the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks are all teams that have shown some interest in potentially moving for Taylor.

It is also believed that the Colts are looking for a similar trade package to what the San Francisco 49ers offered up for Christian McCaffrey back in 2022. A multiple-pick offer could seal the deal to see Taylor depart Indianapolis.
