Georgia football flips elite DB from Liberty

Georgia football does it again. The Bulldogs flip three-star defensive back Braylon Miller from Liberty

The Georgia Bulldogs have flexed their muscles once again in the recruiting world. The Bulldogs have had their eyes set on the next class cycle and this time at the defensive back position. The defensive back position for any program is important but Georgia always looks for certain kinds of guys for that position when coming to Athens. Physical, great ball skills and can typically do a lot of different things at other positions while in high school.

Of course looking in the home state is always a big option for Kirby Smart and his staff because they understand the importance of recruiting at a high level in-state, especially with the Peach State being one of the best states in the country for high school football.

Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart personally extended a scholarship offer to 2027 defensive back Braylon Miller out of Newton High School in Covington, Georgia. Miller took an official visit to Athens and the rest is history. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound defensive back and athlete is projected to play nickel or safety for the Bulldogs.

Last week, in a big game against national powerhouse Grayson High School (GA), Miller had an exceptional performance in their 38-27 comeback victory which put the state on notice even more. With lack of depth for his Newton team due to injuries, Miller played at the linebacker position throughout most of the game among other spots on the gridiron. Miller had a momentum changing 78-yard pick-six interception and on the offensive side of the ball, he temporarily stepped in at the quarterback position and threw two touchdown passes and caught an 80-yard screen for a touchdown.

Miller showcased in that performance alone just how special of an athlete he is and what he can do when his team needs him the most. Coach Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs certainly love that about Miller and that's a major part in why he was offered.

Miller brings an all-around style of play to the field and he will definitely fit in on the Georgia football roster. Miller is Georgia's No. 24 commitment in the class of 2027. The Bulldogs have the nation's No. 9 recruiting class.
