The Carolina Panthers made a few roster adjustments ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As announced on Saturday, inside linebacker Bam Martin-Scott has been activated to the 53-man roster. The second-year defender was shelved for the first five games of the season due to a hamstring injury.
To make room for Martin-Scott, the Panthers placed outside linebacker Thomas Incoom on injured reserve. Incoom had already been ruled out of Sunday's game with a calf injury.
With Incoom and top pass rusher Jaelan Phillips (hamstring) inactive, the Panthers have also elevated outside linebacker Nick Hampton from their practice squad.
Hampton, an Anderson, S.C. native and Appalachian State University standout, was a third-team All-Sun Belt selection in 2021 and a first-team All-Sun Belt selection in 2022. He would be selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams—who used him, primarily on special teams, in 36 games through the 2025 campaign.
This past summer saw Hampton appear in the Hall of Fame Game for the Panthers. He notched 36 defensive snaps and tallied one of the team's two sacks in the 33-30 win.
Cornerback Robert Rochell will join Hampton as this week's other elevation.
In addition, Carolina officially signed rookie cornerback Malcom DeWalt to their practice squad.
