Dominik Szoboszlai appears to have dropped a major hint that he will return from injury for Liverpool against Brentford on Saturday.
The Reds’ influential reigning Player of the Season has missed the last two matches against Manchester City and LASK Linz after returning from international duty with Hungary carrying a hamstring issue.
Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola said on Thursday that it was too early to tell if Szoboszlai - along with fellow injured stars Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo - would be in contention to return for the trip to Brentford, though said he was leaving the “chance open”.
There has been no further update or team news leaks to have emerged since then, leaving fans anxiously waiting to see if any of that key trio would be available for a tough game against an in-form Bees side who remain unbeaten this season so far and sit fourth in the Premier League table.
However, Szoboszlai now looks to have strongly hinted at a return in west London after posting a matchday graphic to his Instagram Stories on Saturday morning.
That is something the player does regularly when he is set to feature in a game, with the absence of such a post last weekend helping to spark the initial concerns that he would not be involved against City.
He did not do it ahead of the thumping Champions League win over LASK on Wednesday either, having not made the trip to Austria.
