With 11 games between the morning, early, and late-afternoon windows of NFL Week 7, Sunday delivered another action-packed event for football fans. Some players and teams took major steps ahead on Sunday. Others took steps backward. Through it all, many clear winners and losers stood out. Below is a compilation of the best and worst from NFL Sunday in Week 7.
The New Orleans Saints didn’t trade Alvin Kamara this offseason, preferring to keep the five-time Pro Bowler instead of getting some late-round draft compensation in return. Yet, Kamara hasn’t been effective. That continued on Sunday in Paris, when the 31-year-old saw just six carries but took them for five yards. He was much better as a pass-catcher in open space, catching seven passes for 57 yards. But again, the Saints’ rushing attack finished with a paltry 18 yards on 17 attempts.
On a day when half of their division lost, the Atlanta Falcons are big winners for being the first team to take down the San Francisco 49ers. Not only did it bring them a half-game within the division lead, the Falcons proved that they can beat one of the very best teams in the NFL. While Michael Penix Jr. was good again, the Defense played a huge role, forcing two fumbles and intercepting Brock Purdy twice. It may not have been their biggest victory in the point margin, this was the Falcons’ best win of the 2026 season, so far.
The Carolina Panthers’ defense has taken a considerable step back this season after ranking 15th in points allowed in 2025. They allowed a season-high 43 on Sunday. It’s not an outcome anyone in Carolina expected, especially when they allowed just 63 passing yards, mainly because Tampa Bay averaged half a first down every time they ran the ball (5.3 YPC). Now falling to 3-3, Carolina’s defense made them big-time losers on Sunday.
While he’s had several uneven performances, Deshaun Watson was mostly on point against a bad Titans defense, completing 25-of-36 passes for 308 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception. He even added 19 yards and another score with his legs. Watson made plays when they mattered most, leading the Browns on his fifth game-winning drive of the season, but this was his first 300-yard game since 2021.
Playing without Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens knew they needed a big game from Derrick Henry and Co. Unfortunately, King Henry wasn’t able to reign supreme. While the Ravens went to him for 17 carries, Henry mustered just 45 rushing yards. Not only did he average just 2.6 yards per carry, Henry didn’t have an attempt go for longer than nine yards. No wonder the Ravens lost by 22 points.
It took five losses before getting in the victory column, but Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley just got his first win, and it came against a divisional oppoenent that’s played much better this season. The rushing offense combined for 156 yards and two touchdowns. But Malik Willis had his best start in a Dolphins uniform yet, completing a season-high 66.6% of his passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns without committing any turnovers.
While the Green Bay Packers’ rushing attack once again did the team no favors, neither did kicker Trey Smack, who made just one of three field goal attempts. That includes a 26-yard attempt that went wide right in the first quarter. While the second one got blocked, the Packers needed him to at least make the first one, especially in a game where they lost by just three points.
The New York Giants may have both discovered their winning formula and found their franchise quarterback/running back of the future in the same game. J.J. McCarthy continues to not only look downfield, he’s making opponents pay, connecting on two 40+ yard passing plays. Overall, he completed 20 of 28 passes for 250 yards. While he did take three sacks, McCarthy didn’t commit any turnovers. As for Cam Skattebo, he busted his way out of the doghouse by going off for 124 yards and a touchdown on just 17 attempts. Yet, his best play was a 42-yard game-sealing rush that set up a 30-yard Devin Singletary touchdown a play later.
Even though he’s been struggling early on, Bo Nix woke up against a bad Arizona Cardinals defense. Nix still didn’t complete many of his passes, just 15-of-29, but he ended up racking up 222 yards and a touchdown in the process. Impressively, he also led the Broncos with 74 rushing yards and a touchdown thanks to a 62-yard scamper with a wide-open rushing lane. This was one of Nix’s beter starts of the season, but can he keep it up?
