The stats tell the story. Just six goals in nine Premier League games - and a failure to score in five of those top-flight fixtures is a big reason for Nottingham Forest's position in the relegation zone.
Against Brentford, Oliver Glasner's side did indeed find the back of the net... unfortunately for them, it was their own.
So how can they turn it around?
XG is a controversial and blunt measuring tool, granted. But there is no doubt Forest are creating decent chances, and converting those would instantly propel them up the table. So who will step up to the challenge?
Many Forest fans believe Liam Delap will come good given the benefit of patience and time. The 23-year-old striker has scored just one goal since joining from Chelsea.
Delap was replaced by the experienced Chris Wood in the second half at Gtech Community Stadium. The 34-year-old failed to get going and make any real mark on the game. It was the same issue for substitute Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Ryan Yates had the best opportunity and the midfield may need to bolster a faltering strike force if this goal drought continues.
Igor Jesus scored the winner in Forest's only league win of the season. The injured Brazilian cannot return quickly enough for Glasner's faltering side.
