The Los Angeles Rams cannot catch a break on the defensive line as injuries have plagued one of the NFL's most promising units.
After losing Myles Garrett for several weeks and being without Aaron Donald for one game since his return, the team learned Monday that nose tackle Poona Ford is out for the season.
On top of that, star defensive lineman and team captain Kobie Turner will likely have to go on injured reserve, keeping him out of action for the near future. Turner injured his groin and will be out 4-6 weeks, according to Michael J. Duarte of the California Post.
Turner played in only 23 snaps during Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. That was the second-lowest out of the position group, with Ty Hamilton's 18 snaps rounding out the count.
Turner has played in 57 regular-season games and six postseason games, having never missed a game in his professional career. Next week's contest against the Las Vegas Raiders will be his first.
With Garrett not expected to practice this week, Donald, Hamilton, Braden Fiske, and Tyler Davis will have to pick up even more slack on the interior, while the outside linebackers will be asked to do a lot more as the defense scrambles to fill gaps.
In 2026, Turner has 22 total tackles and two pass deflections, but he's still searching for his first sack.
