The calendar has changed to November, and that means the NFL season is about half over. The Arizona Cardinals are 3-5 and not completely out of the playoff picture.
It is the time when we can start looking at conference standings and keep an eye on the playoff race.
If the season ended today, only one team in the NFC West would make the postseason. The entire NFC North would be in the playoffs. Let's have a look at the NFC playoff picture after Week 8.
San Francisco 49ers, 6-1
Seattle Seahawks, 4-4
LA Rams, 4-4
Atlanta Falcons, 3-5
Arizona Cardinals, 3-5
Dallas Cowboys, 3-5
The Cardinals are, surprisingly, only two games out of the playoff picture.
The 49ers host the 4-4 Las Vegas Raiders
The Vikings play on Monday night at home against the 6-1 Buffalo Bills.
The Giants are on the road against the 2-6 Philadelphia Eagles.
The Panthers are at home against the 6-2 Denver Broncos
The Bears are at home on Sunday night against the Bucs.
The Lions play the 1-6 Miami Dolphins on the road.
The Packers are on the road against the 5-3 New England Patriots.
The Seahawks and Cardinals play in Seattle.
The Rams are on the road against the 2-4-1 Washington Commanders.
The Falcons host the 5-2 Cincinnati Bengals.
The Cowboys face the 2-6 Indianapolis Colts on the road.
