Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was officially a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, which ostensibly puts him on course to start Sunday’s game against the Bills.

But with the way this injury situation has gone, it’s probably unwise to make any predictions about Jackson’s status.

Still, receiver Zay Flowers noted while speaking to reporters on Wednesday how much of a lift it is to have Jackson on the practice field, noting Jackson’s desire to be effective on Sundays.

“Oh, man, you know Lamar, Lamar wants to play. He wants to play when he is fully healthy,” Flowers said, via transcript from the team. “And seeing him out there today, obviously it gave everybody a smile on their face.

“He is the same player. He is the same person. He wasn’t trying to force anything. He wasn’t trying to make everybody overexcited. He just came out and did what he normally does.”

While the Ravens won their first game without Jackson in the lineup, they’ve dropped the last two to division rivals Cleveland and Cincinnati. Flowers says that’s not on backup QB Tyler Huntley.

“I felt like we could have gotten the win without Lamar last week,” Flowers said. “I don’t think it was anything that had to do with ‘Snoop’ [Huntley]. I don’t think Snoop played badly. I don’t think Snoop played bad at all. I just think we weren’t on the field long enough to help the defense out and keep the ball out of the Bengals’ hands.

“So, having Lamar back definitely gives us a jumpstart and just seeing him back on the field running around [with] the plays he can create.”

The Ravens have scored just 23 points over the last two games — 10 against the Browns and 13 against the Bengals. They’ll likely need a lot more to keep up with the Bills on Sunday, and Jackson’s return would help in that endeavor.
