Chelsea could be very busy in the January transfer window as they eye reinforcements.
As the new year approaches, Alex Scott is thought to be Chelsea’s primary target, and the midfielder appears to be available. While their plan was to keep hold of him until the end of the season, it is now being reported that Bournemouth are prepared to sell Scott in January for the right price.

Scott may not be the only player Chelsea move for, though. According to the Daily Briefing, the Blues are considering making a “massive” bid for Barcelona and Spain star Fermin Lopez.
They may have to wait until the summer, while Paris Saint-Germain are also preparing a huge offer for the attacking midfielder, the same report says. But Lopez could definitely be an option for Chelsea. They have targeted him before.
It has even been reported that Lopez came close to joining Chelsea in 2025. The Spain international remained at Barcelona, but Chelsea’s interest does not appear to have disappeared.
Lopez has made nine appearances in La Liga this season and scored four goals. He would have a World Cup winner’s medal on him right now had injury not prevented him from being part of the Spain squad during the summer.
He has put that disappointment behind him, though, and started this campaign strongly. Lopez is now on Chelsea’s radar again, while PSG are seemingly admirers, too.
