Roma wants to immediately erase the disappointment of their Champions League defeat at Manchester United (3-2) and focus on their undefeated league campaign.

The Roman side will host Aquilani’s Sassuolo on Saturday at 8:45 PM, a team that is experiencing a poor record: four consecutive defeats against Frosinone, Como, Lazio, and Fiorentina.

Ahead of the final match before the break, Gian Piero Gasperini hopes to recover at least one of the players currently injured: Dybala, Koné, and Gollini. Svilar and Pellegrini are unlikely to return.

It’s a crucial day for Paulo Dybala. As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the Argentine striker will undergo a crucial test today to determine whether his calf problem has resolved. Manu Koné appears to have already overcome his respective physical issues, but Roma will be extremely cautious.

There is optimism regarding Gollini’s recovery, given that he was experiencing less back pain yesterday. If he misses again, Gasperini will keep Vasquez from the start, as he did at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Svilar, Pellegrini, and Rensch are unlikely to return before the break.
