The Chicago Bears had a statement victory on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, but they didn't get through the game unscathed. During the team's 34-17 decisive victory, the Bears lost a pair of defensive linemen to injuries.
Veterans Kentavius Street and Grady Jarrett both exited Monday's contest early with lower body injuries. Street appeared to suffer a knee injury in the fourth quarter. He was helped off the field and looked to be in visible pain. Street was carted off and was ruled out for the final few minutes.
Jarrett, meanwhile, was doubtful to return with a groin injury. It's unclear when he suffered his injury, but it was serious enough to keep him from returning. Jarrett finished the game with one tackle and a penalty.
The injuries to Street and Jarrett meant that newcomer Jeffery Simmons, who was making his debut after arriving via trade from the Tennessee Titans, had to see more action than probably intended. Simmons was on the field late in the fourth quarter after the game was out of reach and finished the day with six tackles, two for loss, a sack, and a pass deflection.
