St Ives Town U18s win 6-0 to reach FA Youth Cup round two

Despite the visitors' early threat, Ives took control when Jailen Harris scored in the 15th minute, with Archie Riordan doubling the lead at the half-hour mark.

The match was effectively decided on the hour with Isaac Hines' goal, followed by Olly Whitehead's effort, leaving 15 minutes to play.

Zach Liggins and Josh Ward's late goals completed the rout.

The Ives will travel to League 1 side Plymouth Argyle U18s in the second round proper, provided they overcome Mangotsfield United on Tuesday.

Ives co-chairman Andrew Dunn said: "I speak on behalf of everyone at the club by congratulating manager Casey Fitzgerald and his team on a superb performance.

"This history making run in the FA Youth Cup continues, and it was great to see a fantastic crowd combined with a great atmosphere.

"It was an excellent night for the club, and everyone is already looking forward to the next round."
