Jake Paul faces French MMA star Cedric Doumbe on his return to boxing this Christmas Eve.

Having recovered from a double broken jaw at the hands of Anthony Joshua last December, Paul has promised to produce a statement when he gets back into the ring at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

The 29-year-old plans to defeat Doumbe before moving on to bigger names, with the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Conor McGregor, Francis Ngannou and Tom Aspinall part of his 14-fight future hit-list.

Doumbe, meanwhile, a star in his hometown, is contesting his first competitive bout since a first-round knockout of Jaleel Willis at Bellator Paris in May 2024.

'The Best' transitioned to MMA in 2021 after a stellar kickboxing career, where he became a two-time welterweight champion under the Glory banner with a 75-7-1 record.

He has just one professional boxing fight to his name, defeating Mohamed Fodil on points 11 years ago in France.

While Paul came in at 216.5lbs for his loss to Joshua and Doumbe weighed 175lbs for his last fight, the pair are meeting in the middle for their Christmas Eve clash.

"Jake Paul calls himself the Problem Child, but he's never faced a problem like me," the 34-year-old French-Cameroonian said.

"He has no idea what a Frenchman is capable of, and on Thursday, December 24, in Dubai, I’m going to eat ‘El Poulet’ for dinner.

"Jake loves to talk, and so do I, but after what Joshua did to his jaw, I'm not sure how much talking he has left.

"I'm going to finish the job Joshua started. Dubai is a special city to me, and on Christmas Eve, I'll be waving le Tricolore over his unconscious body."

Press conference details

Paul will face off with Doumbe for the first time at a kickoff press conference on November 10 at Pavillon Cambon in Paris, France.

It is scheduled to begin at 5pm UK time (6pm CET / 12pm ET).

The pair will come face-to-face again at a second press conference on November 12 in Dubai.

That one will get underway from 2pm UK time (6pm GST / 9am ET).

Both press conferences will be free and open to the public.
