The 27-year-old was off to a fast start in his first season in Portland, averaging 15.8 points and 5.5 assists while shooting 54.2% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range through four games.
With Morant on the mend, the Trail Blazers will lean more on the rest of their strong backcourt depth, anchored by franchise icon Damian Lillard.
