Winners’ cheque: Either Sonay Kartal or Maja Chwalinska will take home a £500,000 ($665,000) prize cheque if they are crowned the champion of the Wuhan Open. It would be a first WTA 1000 title for either woman. The doubles champions will receive £147k ($195k).
Runners-up: Whoever loses in the final is still guaranteed to take home £290k ($385k) in prize money. Chwalinska is hunting her first tour-level title, while Kartal lifted a WTA 250 crown in Monastir in 2024.
Total purse: The Wuhan Open offers a total financial commitment of £3,074,652 ($4,088,211). It is a one-week, 56-draw WTA 1000 event. The defending champion this year was Coco Gauff, who did not play the tournament.
Round-by-round: First round losers took home £13.8k ($18.3k); those who reached the second round got £19.6k ($26k); players who got to the third round bagged £37k ($49k). In the latter stages, quarter-finalists banked £74k ($98.5k), and semi-finalists earned £148k ($197k).

Doubles prize money: The champions take home a £147k ($195k winners’ cheque) while the runners-up will receive £82.7k ($111.1k).
