The women got their afternoon up and running through Chloe Craig, who opened the scoring after eight minutes.

McAneny doubled the advantage in the 17th minute, giving Scott’s side a two-goal cushion heading into the interval.

As detailed in Celtic’s official match report, the visitors then pulled away with three goals early in the second half.

An own goal made it 3-0 four minutes after the restart before McAneny added her second.

Evie Rabjohn scored Celtic’s fifth in the 56th minute, with Morgan Cross completing the scoring in the 78th.

The result builds on the 4-0 victory over Spartans before the international break, giving the Ghirls successive league wins with 10 goals scored and none conceded.

It was an encouraging way to resume their campaign, with the points secured comfortably and four Celtic players getting on the scoresheet.

At Parkhead, Callum Osmand and Benjamin Nygren both scored doubles as the men delivered their own ruthless attacking display.

Kieran Tierney and Camilo Duran were also on target, alongside a Jamie McCart own goal, as Celtic ran out 7-1 winners against Hearts.

Across the two matches, Celtic scored 13 and conceded just once.

Scott’s side now turn their attention to hosting Hearts on Wednesday, looking to carry their scoring form into another important league fixture, while O’Neill’s team prepare for Celta Vigo on Thursday.
