Tempo’s Blaithin Bogue scored twice as North Melbourne secured the AFLW minor premiership for a third consecutive season with a convincing victory over Richmond.
The Kangaroos produced an emphatic performance to wrap up top spot and head into the 2026 finals campaign in impressive form.
With Geelong having recorded an 11th consecutive victory on Friday night, North Melbourne knew they needed to beat the Tigers to guarantee the minor premiership.
The winning formula
After a brief early stumble, the Kangaroos took control, scoring seven unanswered goals in the first half to put the result beyond doubt.
They eventually ran out 68-point winners, recording a 15.11 (101) to 5.3 (33) victory.
Bogue’s two-goal contribution helped North Melbourne complete another impressive home-and-away campaign and secure a home qualifying final next weekend.
Their opponents will be the fourth-placed side on the ladder, with Gold Coast, Carlton and Sydney all in contention.
The Week One Finals fixtures are due to be confirmed on Sunday evening.
