Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi (28) is set to miss this Saturday’s home match against ESTAC Troyes, on Matchday 10 of Ligue 1.
“In agreement with the manager and the sporting director, Achraf Hakimi will be given a period of rest until the start of the international break,” the Parisian club announced.
Having started in 13 of the 14 matches he has played since the start of the season, the Moroccan will therefore have the chance to take a breather before joining his national team, with whom he will play two matches against Niger as part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Captain of PSG for Les Rouge et Bleu’s away match against Villarreal CF on Tuesday evening in the Champions League (0-6), Hakimi had also shone a few days earlier, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the Parisians’ victory at Le Havre’s Stade Océane (1-5).
