Rory Sabbatini had an incredible final round to win his first PGA Tour Champions event.
Sabbatini, who turned 50 in April, shot 9-under 62 at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, to win the 2026 Stifel Charity Classic, the first event of the PGA Tour Champions playoffs, the Schwab Cup. Sabbatini leaped eight spots on the leaderboard to beat Darren Clarke by a shot, finishing at 14 under for the 54-hole event.
His 62 included three bogeys, but coming home in 29, he also had two eagles and eight birdies en route to the 62. He was six strokes better than co-leaders Mario Tiziani and Henrik Stenson, the latter who was also looking for his first Champions win since returning from LIV Golf.
Tiziani and Stenson each shot 3-under 68 on Sunday and finished T-3.
The win was Sabbatini's first in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event since 2011. He has six PGA Tour wins in his career but now has his first Champions win and is the first Slovakian winner on the circuit. He'll take home $350,000.
The top-54 players after the Stifel Charity Classic advanced to the next playoff event, the Simmons Bank Championship. Justin Leonard is the last player in the field.
