John Guidetti will tune in with a watchful eye on Thursday as his former clubs face off in the Europa League

John Guidetti may well have split loyalties when tuning into Celtic's clash with Celta Vigo.

Guidetti made a blistering start to his Hoops career - plundering 11 goals by November - and his sizzling performances quickly made him a fans' favourite.

Journeyman Guidetti, 34, is now retired after playing for ten different clubs throughout his career.

Reflecting on his only regret, he told Spanish radio station A Penaltis: "I only have one mistake in my career: leaving Vigo.

"I left because I wanted to play in the World Cup, it was my dream; I was coming off an injury and Maxi Gómez was there. My wife didn't want to leave. I was very happy at Celta: I ate well, I enjoyed it, the people..."
