Derek Jeter and his wife, Hannah, share four kids: Bella Raine, 9, Story Grey, 7, River Rose, 4, and Kaius Green, 3
Derek Jeter is putting in the work — and it’s not on the baseball field.
The retired Yankees legend, 52, shared two totally-relatable photos of himself drenched in sweat while pushing his toddler in a stroller at the zoo in a recent carousel uploaded to his Instagram account on Thursday, Oct. 22.
“They said let’s go to the zoo, it’s not hot!” he sarcastically captioned his post.
In the first photo, Jeter — who shares daughters Bella Raine, 9, Story Grey, 7, and River Rose, 4, and son Kaius Green, 3, with wife Hannah — is seen standing beside a stroller in a light gray shirt drenched in sweat, with dark gray spots scattered across the fabric.
While the dad of four wore a long-sleeve hoodie, even pairing it with shorts, the heat clearly got the best of him. The athlete was pictured pushing the stroller from behind, which showed off his sweat-stained backside.
Jeter didn’t drop the zoo location, but it appeared to be someplace tropical given the palm-tree-lined walkways and beautiful sunny blue skies. He paired his look with black sunglasses and white Nike sneakers for his trek around the grounds.
Fans got a kick out of Jeter’s dad-mode moment at the zoo, leaving hilarious comments about the relatable parenting activity the five-time World Series champion enjoyed with his kids.
“Imagine running into the goat at the zoo 😂🙌,” wrote one user.
“Guy is sweating like it’s game 7 of the world series bottom of the 9th full count and 2 outs 😂,” joked another.

“Shoulda worn pinstripes,” quipped a third Instagram user, a nod to his famed Yankee uniform. “Only 🐐 I care to see at the zoo,” wrote a fourth.
From the photos, it wasn’t clear which of his kids was in the stroller. However, it was possible one of his daughters given the strands of hair that did make it into the shot and the pink sippy cups stored in the cup holder.
Last summer, Jeter shared an update with PEOPLE about his kids and their athletic abilities. He said his son has been practicing his famous swing, while his three girls have been introduced to tennis, soccer, swimming and other activities.
As for his youngest, Kaius has been walking around “swinging” everything in his hands, the baseball icon shared. “My son walks around, everything in his hands, he’s swinging it, trying to hit someone,” he added, joking, “So there’s a little bit of violence going on in the house, but I have to try to control that.”
“The [youngest] are pretty young, but the 7 and 6-year-olds, I would say they’re very athletic, but they’re really not too interested in playing sports,” Jeter said at the time. “They’ve done swimming, they tried tennis. It was a little too hot in Miami, so [they] didn’t like to be outside too much.”
“My third, she follows around the big girls. I think a lot of times, kids start playing sports when their friends start playing,” he continued, adding, “So I think it’s about that time where it’s going to switch where people get interested.”
