AC Milan are one of several clubs interested in signing Dion Beljo from Dinamo Zagreb, according to a report from Croatia.
According to Vecernji.hr (via MilanPress), Milan are watching Beljo’s exploits closely in view of the upcoming transfer windows. However, they aren’t the only European club monitoring the 24-year-old Croatian.
Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham are interested in signing him as early as January, while Newcastle, Real Betis and the Rossoneri have also entered the race. Dinamo already rejected a €20m offer in the summer and will need at least €25m to satisfy the club’s management.
President Zvonimir Boban – someone who is of course very familiar with Milan – wants to keep him until June. Last season, the centre-forward scored 38 goals and provided six assists in 48 total appearances. This season he’s already at 17 goals and seven assists in 16 games.
A total of 64 games, 55 goals and 13 assists make him a player that is rightly gaining attention. However, negotiating with Boban and Dinamo will not be easy, especially if the price keeps rising.
It is believed that Milan are in the market for a deputy to Goncalo Ramos, who is currently working overtime as Ruben Amorim does not seem to be willing to put too much faith in Francesco Camarda at the moment.
