The club announced the arrival of the 35-year-old with the message: “A massive welcome to Forest Green Rovers, Will Grigg!”
Grigg arrives at The New Lawn after a lengthy career in the EFL, having represented Walsall, Brentford, MK Dons, Wigan Athletic, Sunderland, Rotherham United and most recently Chesterfield.
He enjoyed particular success during his time at Wigan Athletic, twice winning the League One title.
Grigg was the division's leading scorer with 25 goals during the 2015/16 campaign and later finished as the FA Cup's top scorer with seven goals in 2017/18.
He has also represented Northern Ireland at international level, winning 13 senior caps and scoring twice, and was part of the nation's squad at Euro 2016.
It was during that period that the striker became known far beyond his clubs for the hugely popular “Will Grigg’s on Fire” football chant, taken from Gala's Freed From Desire.
The chant, created by a Wigan Athletic supporter, became one of the most recognisable football chants of the tournament.
