Leeds United fans will be waking up on Sunday morning excited, as their beloved side face a Man United team in utter disarray. Lucas Radebe has urged his old team to take full “advantage”.

Michael Carrick is under enormous pressure after a poor start to the season. Failing to hold on to a win against 10-man Tottenham was compounded by a 3-0 battering against Atletico Madrid that week.

On top of that, Lisandro Martinez decided to criticise the board after the result. Having taken four points off Man United last season, Leeds fans are confident that their side can get a win on Sunday afternoon.

Lucas Radebe delivers prediction, says Leeds have better players

Leeds, meanwhile, are in good form. They suffered their first league defeat of the season last time out, but it was a brilliant performance away at The Emirates, and deserved at least a point against Arsenal.

Peter Crouch has backed Leeds to win, while Rio Ferdinand believes Man United will be terrified to go to Elland Road. On ITV Sport, Leeds legend Lucas Radebe backed his old team to beat Man United 3-1.

It's going to be a BIG one at Elland Road 🔥

“I think we are better equipped this time. I think we can put up a good fight, and I believe we have better players. It’s the occasion; it’s very, very important. The players have to make sure they don’t lose this one.

“This is a great opportunity, a chance to use Elland Road to put them under pressure, and Leeds need to take advantage of that. It is satisfying, all-round satisfaction [to win]. The stands bring the atmosphere.

“It’s the best thing, and it can give us a good trajectory in the league. We are playing well at the moment; it’s going to be a great game. They hate coming here; I think we’re going to win 3-1,” Radebe said.

How will Leeds United line up against Man United?

It would come as a surprise if Farke made any changes at all to his Leeds side on Sunday. Joe Rodon is still sidelined with a muscle injury, meaning James Justin, Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic will start.

In midfield, the combination of Ao Tanaka, Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach is working well, while Jayden Bogle and Gabi Gudmundsson will continue on the flanks. Noah Okafor will be dreaming of a repeat.

He scored both goals in a 2-1 win at Old Trafford in the last fixture between the two sides, while Ian Wright claims Dominic Calvert-Lewin will bully Lisandro Martinez. Leeds are almost favourites to win.

An unchanged side is likely despite Harry Wilson and Dan James both being available to play, though the latter has only just returned to training after a back problem picked up during the international break.
