Chelsea face Everton in this afternoon’s early kick off, and the teams are in!

The Blues had a strong win over Bournemouth in their last game, so Xabi Alonso doesn’t make too many changes. However, his hand has been forced by injuries in one area.

One change for Chelsea as Blue look to keep momentum going

At the back, it’s the same back three as last week, ahead of Emi Martinez. Wesley Fofana continues to be kept out of the team by Josh Acheampong, which we love to see.

In midfield the Moises Caicedo – Jordan Henderson duo did really well last week, and we’re excited to see how they get on.

There is a change at wing back – while Pedro Neto keeps his spot on the right, Pep Chavarria picked up a knock last week and is out of the squad, with Jorrel Hato stepping in. Marco Palestra still can’t crack the starting team, despite another week having passed since his injury.

Then it’s the same fearsome front three that has terrorised the league all season.

Reece Jame is out of the squad following news of his knee surgery.

In other news…

Xabi Alonso spoke in the buildup to this game about how Chelsea could shake off their bad memories of their last away game.

Alonso also denied Chelsea were planning on signing a midfielder in January, despite the injury to Reece James.
