It has now been reported that Newcastle United are interested in signing Dyeidu Massiah.

Tuesday bringing the news.

Talksport state that their information is that Newcastle United are actively scouting the striker with potentially an offer in the near future.

Represented by the Golden Legacy Sports Agency, Dyeidu Massiah signed for UAE First Division league side Forte Virtus only in July of this year.

However, the teenage forward has rapidly impressed with four goals in his first five matches for the new club.

Dyeidu Massiah will turn 20 in January and a number of top European clubs are monitoring his progress.

The competition for young talent has never been greater as clubs look to get ahead of the curve and look to sign young and relatively inexperienced players ahead of their rivals, hoping that their raw potential can see them develop further once signed.

Talksport reporting that Dyeidu Massiah fits Newcastle United’s business model of investing in up-and-coming young players.

These were the Newcastle United transfer window summer 2026 signings

£24.6m Ewen Jaouen (aged 20 when signing)
£43m Bazoumana Toure (aged 18)
£23m Sean Steur (aged 20)
£35.5m Aladji Bamba (aged 20)
£25.7m Lukas Hornicek (aged 24)
£29.5m Amar Dedic (aged 24)
£52m Nico Gonzalez (aged 24)
£55m Matias Fernandez-Pardo (aged 21)
£3m Ousmane Diabaté (aged 18)

As you can see, five of the nine NUFC summer signings were aged 20 or under, as Ross Wilson implemented a very defined strategy of targeting young inexperienced players from overseas leagues with potential to grow in ability and value.

This has also continued to be the case with those who are even younger going into the Newcastle United Academy, the net cast ever wider around the UK and overseas.
