The Los Angeles Rams got hit by yet another big injury with receiver Davante Adams going down for six to 10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring. And if you're here, you might wonder who's next up on the Rams' receiver depth chart to replace him.
The answer? It's a little complicated. Yes, Konata Mumpfield -- the second-year WR out of Pitt who was a seventh-round pick in 2025 -- is the name that has come up, particularly after he caught four passes for 93 yards and a touchdown back in Week 3.
If you're desperate at wide receiver, you should look at him on the fantasy football waiver wire, although I like other names this week like the New York Jets' Omar Cooper Jr. But the other factor here is that the Rams may target their tight ends more in addition to throwing a ton to Puka Nacua.
How do I know that? Here's a stat for you regarding the Rams when Adams isn't on the field:
In case you don't know, that's a formation with three tight ends and one receiver. So it might be sneaky good to pick up Tyler Higbee if he's a free agent, or to stash injured tight end Terrance Ferguson for his return from IR. Those are better bets to pick up the work with Adams out.
He's eligible after Week 8, so you'd have to sit him for a game and hope that he's back when his practice window opens.
