Terry Bradshaw has called the Dallas Cowboys' priorities into question after the team's locker-room celebrations for Dak Prescott breaking the franchise's all-time passing touchdown record, slamming the behavior as "strange".
Prescott, 33, achieved the record-breaking milestone during the 37-20 Week 2 victory over the Washington Commanders on September 20, throwing exactly four touchdown passes during the game to officially move him to 249 career passing touchdowns and surpass former quarterback Tony Romo's previous record of 248.
Following the game, the Cowboys threw an incredibly high-energy celebration for Prescott in the locker room, with footage posted by the franchise also capturing the quarterback delivering an emotional speech about how deeply honored he was to break the historic record.
Since then, the Cowboys have gone 1-3, taking their season record to 2-4, and now head into Monday night's NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles off the back of two straight defeats, during which time the team has scored just 29 combined points and Prescott has thrown four interceptions.
Speaking ahead of the game during the latest episode of FOX NFL Sunday, Bradshaw delivered a fiery rant about the Cowboys' recent shortcomings, arguing that individual accolades should not be celebrated in such a manner during the middle of a season.
"I'm not going to lie to you guys, I'm a Jerry Jones fan, always have been," Bradshaw began. "But you know what upset me? A couple of weeks ago, I saw when Dak Prescott broke the touchdown passing record for the Cowboys and went into the locker room and the whole place was screaming and hollering.
"I said, Howie, isn't that a little strange? Michael, isn't that a little strange?," Bradshaw continued, recalling conversations with his co-hosts, Michael Strahan and Howie Long. "We're celebrating that other than championships."
The Pittsburgh Steelers icon went on to call out the Cowboys' priorities, prompting him to issue an ultimatum to the team to stop worrying about individual stats and focus on winning the match ahead.
"Look, you celebrate passing touchdowns when it's all said and done, not during a season. So that leads me to believe that their focus isn't where it should be," Bradshaw added.
"They bring in Christian Parker as their defensive coordinator, a young guy. They bring in Mike Pettine. He's kind of retired. He's on vacation in Italy. And now the defense for Dallas is playing really good, and the offense is playing really bad.
"So Dak Prescott, no more interceptions down the field. You cannot lose to the Philadelphia Eagles because you've got to go home and play Arizona. And if you think Arizona is an easy way, call the Rams and ask them."
Several fans, however, called out Bradshaw for his praise of the Cowboys' defense, accusing him of not watching any games because his comments were way off the mark.
"'Defense is playing really good,' yeah these guys don't watch any games," one person wrote on X. "The defense is playing really good is quite a stretch," commented another.
"Ah yes it is Dak Prescott's fault that they celebrated the record on the coaches decision, not Mr Jones who has been a loser GM for 30 years and never won without a team crafted without Jimmy. Makes sense Terry!" blasted a third.
