Beringer won't start Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Heat.
Beringer started Friday's preseason finale with Rudy Gobert (rest) receiving a maintenance day, though the veteran big man is back in his usual starting role for the regular-season opener. Beringer figures to operate as Gobert's primary backup to begin the 2026-27 campaign.
