Caleb Williams, Bears try to keep pace with perfect Minnesota Vikings

Two teams in the NFC North had their week off this past week, yet the NFC North still thrived. The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears smoked NFC opponents that thought they were contenders. The return and strong play of former Trojan Caleb Williams has given the Chicago Bears hope for more than just a division title this season.

Here are my takeaways from Week 6 in the NFC North from each team:

(5-0) Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings still sit on the throne and at the top of the NFC North standings. However, during their bye week, their counterparts are gaining more confidence. The Chicago Bears are getting back to full strength, and the Green Bay Packers are putting back-to-back great performances together. Things are going to heat up for this division, and Kyler Murray and the Vikings offense have to be ready to fight to keep their spot.

(4-2) Green Bay Packers

Hope looked lost for the Green Bay Packers not too long ago, but the win against the Bears saved their season. Now this team is getting back important pieces soon. Jordan Love is getting back to elite quarterback play, while his receivers Matthew Golden and Christian Watson are playing out of their minds. The Packers may be depleted with injuries, but this team, with the right mindset, can still get the best out of a lot of teams. Would not be surprised if the Packers finish the season as a playoff team.

(4-2) Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears got their star quarterback and their mojo back in Week 6. Caleb Williams is getting a lot closer to his ceiling. As a result, the Bears' passing game is reaching unstoppable levels. Kyler Gordon's return gives the Bears' defense an entirely new outlook. The stars are showing up big for this football team. When this team gets back to full strength, they are the best team in the division and a Super Bowl contender.

(3-2) Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions sit in last place in the division; however, they have the right momentum building to get back to the top. The defense for the Lions has improved, especially in pass-rush terms. The Lions offense can score with anybody. Detroit is a dangerous football team not only in this division but also in the NFC conference as a whole.

Overview

The NFC North continues the notion that this is the best division in football. Although each team in the division has its own flaws, each team is still a quality playoff team in the NFC. The Vikings are undefeated, but this division is still far from being won. In a few weeks, this division could very well do a 180 switch.
