A group of Swansea builders asked their boss for the day off to go ziplining but needed help from a footballing legend to do so. The construction workers, who have become well-known on social media for their hilarious takes on the industry on their page 'The Welsh Erection Boys', rang up their boss with an unusual request.
One of the members of the group, Daniel Richards, was filmed talking to his boss, John, on a speaker phone asking him if he could have the day off to go ziplining and discussing if they could get 100,000 likes and a comment from Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney.
John responds: "You've got no chance. You're too busy. You've got all the Christmas plots to do, you know that." Never miss a Swansea story by signing up to our newsletter here.

But after a bit of coaxing, the boss upped the ante, telling Mr Richards that if the group managed to get 150,000 likes and a comment from Rooney, he would not only allow them to have the day off, but also pay for it.
The group were set the challenge last Thursday and given until the beginning of Monday to pull it off.
But, unfortunately, Rooney saw the post too late. Responding on Instagram after the deadline, he wrote: "Sorry lads only just seen this. The boss never said which Sunday was the deadline so I hope you meant next Monday."
Mr Richards posted a further video, adding: "Rooney, what's happening mate? As you can tell we're out in this rain this morning absolutely soaking wet. Thank you for the comment anyway mate. You're a bit too late."
