Sheppard will come off the bench in Friday's preseason finale against the Bucks, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Sheppard started in Tuesday's exhibition with Andrew Nembhard (undisclosed) unavailable, but Nembhard is back and starting, so Sheppard will retreat to a reserve role. As a member of the second unit this preseason, Sheppard is averaging 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 triples in 19.2 minutes per game.
