Blackburn Rovers dressing room reaction after Wrexham win

The summer signing from Stockport County has largely been first reserve from the substitutes' bench this season.

However, Ryoya Morishita's ankle injury has opened the door on the right-wing. Fevrier was given the nod against Wrexham and did well in a good team performance.

The 23-year-old has felt supported by Tony Mowbray in his early weeks at the club and wants to show the fans what he can do.

"Patience in football is everything," Fevrier told RoversTV.

"I knew I'd have to be ready for my opportunity. I'm grateful to the gaffer for giving me the start today.

"He was a key factor in me joining the club and ever since I've come, he's spoken to me a lot and he has a lot of confidence in me.

"So it's a great boost, especially as a young attacker, to go and play for him because you know that the manager's backing you.

"I felt like I did well. I'm training well and the boys have confidence in me.

"So I knew that whenever I got my opportunity, it would be a good one.

"Personally, I'm just trying to excite the fans, get on the ball as much as I can, take shots, crosses, beat my man and contribute to the team to get the win."

Rovers' front line has been much improved this season, with Andri Gudjohnsen prolific. Dapo Afolayan has also been in goal-scoring form whilst Todd Cantwell's performances have been consistent.

Fevrier wants to become part of that attack which has performed so well and excite the supporters in the process.

"We know that our front line is scary and can create and score goals," he explained.

"So it's important that we got the clean sheet today. We've got a lot of talented players at the top of the pitch that start, that come on.

"So we can always create and score. When your striker's scoring and we're creating for him, it just gives a boost. I'm happy for Andre and happy that he can help the team with his goals.

"As a wide player or attacking midfielder, you know Andre's going to be in the position. So, if you just put the ball in there, he'll be there to score."

Rovers' contrasting home form has been the biggest indicator of their improvement. Saturday was their third triumph in a row, equalling last year's tally of four.

Fevrier has enjoyed the atmosphere at Ewood Park having made the step up from League One.

"It's been very important," he reflected on the improved home form.

"We always want to play well, compete, win duels and get wins and pick up points on the board.

"I'm not sure what the table looks like now, but I'm pretty sure we're doing well.

"It's been an amazing start at home, to be fair. The fans have been amazing. I think last year the home record wasn't that great.

"This year we knew we had to make Ewood Park a fortress. We're starting to pick up some good results there and we're building towards that."
