Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend, after another midweek Champions League outing. The Gunners drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night.
Mikel Arteta’s side took the lead through Eberechi Eze in the 25th minute before Bayern equalised through Alphonso Davies. Harry Kane put Bayern ahead from the penalty spot in the second half, with Declan Rice making it 2-2 with eight minutes left to play.
The draw means that Arsenal are seventh in the league phase. But the game also brought about a potentially big injury blow, with Bukayo Saka forced to leave the field in the first half.
OPINION
The injury means that the England international is unlikely to be available on Saturday when Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates Stadium (3pm kick-off). The Gunners will be looking to continue to put pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, while the Toffees are pushing for the European places.
Ahead of the match, here’s the latest on the injury front from both dressing rooms.
The one major worry for Arsenal is the injury Saka picked up against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening. The winger picked up a thigh injury just 10 minutes into the game.
Giving an update after the match, Arteta said: "They (the medical staff) are a bit concerned. A player who has to come off with a really sharp pain is never good news, but we'll have to wait and see."
Saka will join longer-term absentee William Saliba on the sidelines. The defender is continuing his recovery from a back injury, aiming to return sometime next month.
Winger Christos Tzolis also remains on the sidelines for the match vs Everton. He picked up an injury while on international duty with Greece.
Giving an update last week, Arteta said: “He’s doing really well. Yesterday he had another MRI scan to see how the injury is evolving. It's progressing really well, so he’s another one who hopefully we can have back in a few weeks.”
One player who could possibly return for Arsenal is defender Piero Hincapie. The Ecuadorian was spotted in training ahead of the game vs Bayern Munich.

While he didn’t feature in the game, he could make a comeback against Everton, should he get through training this week unscathed.
Unlike Arsenal, Everton have no injury worries for the match. Full-back Vitaliy Mykolenko had missed the Premier League clash against Hull City, but returned to the starting XI last weekend and played the full 90 minutes vs Chelsea.
Defender Jarrad Branthwaite was also an injury concern ahead of the game vs Chelsea, but the centre-back was in the lineup and played the full 90 minutes of the 2-0 defeat.
Last week, David Moyes revealed that former Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard is not ready to start a game yet, due to missing the start of the season. "Christian's still got a bit to go,” he said. “A wee bit to go. I think we could use him at certain times if required, but I don't know if he's ready to start the game yet."
