Kyle Larson added to his NASCAR Cup Series points lead after winning the YellaWood 500 on Oct. 25 at Talladega.
Larson's lead is 73 points over Denny Hamlin with two races left in the season.
A multi-car crash on Lap 131 involved championship contenders Ryan Blaney, Tyler Reddick and Hamlin along with Chase drivers Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs, Daniel Suarez and Ryan Preece.
Blaney, Reddick and Elliott were done for the day, while Gibbs, Suarez and Wallace lost laps. Hamlin was able to manage a eighth-place finish despite a taped-up front-end.
Christopher Bell had a first-stage incident on pit road, locking up his tires and spinning before slapping the wall. After several stops, Bell ended up several laps down and finished in 35th.
A major crash late ended the days of Chase Briscoe and Joey Logano, leaving Larson with a prime opportunity to add to his lead.
