Jalen Brunson has unveiled an all-gold Nike Kobe 6 Protro Player Exclusive for the New York Knicks' ring ceremony night
The exclusive pair was first revealed ahead of the season opener by fellow NBA veteran PJ Tucker
The metallic execution coordinates with the franchise’s commemorative gold-stitched championship jerseys
Nike has delivered a custom Kobe 6 Protro for Jalen Brunson to commemorate the New York Knicks’ championship ring and banner night. The special-edition Player Exclusive marks the historic milestone following the franchise’s first title in over five decades.
Previewed ahead of the season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers by sneaker collector and fellow NBA veteran PJ Tucker, the silhouette is coated in a striking monochromatic metallic gold finish. Tucker took to social media to showcase the design, calling the pair “the hardest Kobe’s EVER made.”
The all-gold makeup is designed to complement the Knicks’ ceremonial championship uniforms, which feature gold stitching and commemorative patches. While speculation previously pointed toward Brunson lacing up his Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Arancia” PE—which dropped via a Foot Locker pop-up near Madison Square Garden earlier in the day—the point guard opted for the bespoke Kobe 6 to take the court. Brunson continues to serve as a primary face for Nike’s Kobe line across the league, regularly rotating through exclusive iterations on court.
