Having joined Keighley in 2026, Skerrett-Evans will continue his development at Cougar Park as part of the squad new head coach Matt Bramald is building for the upcoming campaign.
With experience in the Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers development systems, alongside representing Jamaica, Skerrett-Evans brings a rich Super League and international background.
The 20-year-old continues to take his next steps in the professional game, having been picked up by Cas from Birkenshaw Blue Dogs in 2023 following his release by Leeds.
He will learn alongside experienced teammates at Cougars like Matty Beharrell and Dan Parker next season and get the chance to compete for regular first-team rugby league.
Cougars head coach Bramald said: “I’m really pleased Leo is staying with us.
“There’s plenty of development ahead of him, and I’m looking forward to working with him in pre-season.
“We want to give him the support and opportunity to keep improving, build his confidence and push for his place in the team.”
Richard Dibbin, head of rugby operations at Cougars, said: “Leo made it clear during our conversations that he wanted to stay at Keighley, which was really pleasing to hear.
“He spoke about how much he’d enjoyed being here and the opportunity to develop around the experienced lads.
“I’m delighted we’ve been able to get things agreed and keep him as part of what we’re building.”
Skerrett-Evans is Cougars’ sixth confirmed retention from last season’s squad, alongside Beharrell, Parker, Jack Teanby, David Foggin-Johnston and Nathan Rushworth.
