Donnington Grove’s Ian Panting won the Race to Belek amateur tournament at the Gloria Resort in Turkey.
Panting produced a superb display to finish ahead of runner-up Jane Harrison of Swaffham GC, with Newmachar’s Scott Cameron in third.
Denis Gürlersan, general manager of Kaden Golf, said: “Firstly, congratulations to Ian on a fantastic victory and to all nine finalists who earned their place in Belek.
“We created the Race to Belek to give everyday club golfers across the UK the chance to experience something truly special.
“It’s about much more than a trophy; it’s about bringing people together, forging friendships and showcasing the very best of Turkish golf and hospitality.”
Nine finalists who had won competitions this summer at a series of golf clubs across the UK took part in the nail-biting and very close final competition on the Old Course at the world-famous Gloria Golf Resort in Belek, Turkey.
The Race to Belek finalists enjoyed an all-expenses-paid golf experience, including flights with Corendon Airlines to Antalya, five-star accommodation at Gloria Golf Resort, and access to world-class golf facilities and hospitality.
Matthew Carpenter, UK country canager at Corendon Airlines, said: “Ian Panting played with consistency and determination and we congratulate him on a well-deserved win.
“The tournament has proved to be so much more than a golf event.”
