PSG host Lyon tonight in Matchday 8 of the Ligue 1 campaign. The game was initially set to be played on Sunday night, but LFP agreed to move the game at the request of the Paris Police Prefecture as large-scale demonstrations were expected in Paris over the weekend. For the second year in a row, PSG will play a Ligue 1 game as the Ballon d’Or ceremony takes place.

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé is expected to attend the 2026 ceremony given he has sustained a thigh injury during last week’s UEFA Champions League 4-2 win over FC Barcelona. He’s not the only high-profile Parisien to miss out through injury. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia suffers from a potentially season-ending ACL tear. Nuno Mendes and Marquinhos are also out.

Luis Enrique is set to turn to 2026 World Cup winner Ferran Torres to lead the line. With Kvaratskhelia out for the foreseeable, in-form France international Désiré Doué will occupy the left flank, and leave his right-wing spot to Maghnes Akliouche.
