Man City have triple injury concern for Aston Villa as Erling Haaland return confirmed

Erling Haaland is fit for Manchester City's Premier League clash with Aston Villa, but Enzo Maresca has three injury doubts

Enzo Maresca has confirmed Erling Haaland is available for Aston Villa but three other Manchester City players remain fitness concerns. Haaland sat out the midweek fixture as an unused substitute, while Nico O'Reilly, Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic were all absent after the quartet sustained injuries during the Ipswich match.

City will be without Antoine Semenyo for the next eight weeks following a knee injury sustained in that fixture. And while Phil Foden's hat-trick in midweek indicates he could fill the void during that spell, Maresca will be keen to avoid any further injury setbacks.

"We have a session this afternoon. They could all be available or not. They are still doubts. Yesterday they were all improving and we will see this afternoon. Erling is the only one who is 100 per cent available and the other three we need to wait on today's session."

City are aiming to maintain their flawless Premier League record, having secured victory in their opening seven matches. They face Villa on Saturday lunchtime before Arsenal, who trail them by three points, host Everton in the afternoon.

"The mood is very good, we are happy with our start but we are hungry for more wins," Maresca said. "Happy at the moment but we want more. We are happy with our start but we want more so we are going to try to prepare to win Saturday's game.", reports the Manchester Evening News.
