Dino Beganovic will become Ferrari's Formula 1 reserve driver and test driver for the 2027 campaign.

As GPblog first reported in an exclusive article, Beganovic will remain on the team as a test and development driver next year. In addition to that, he will also serve as the Scuderia's reserve driver for Formula 1.

The Swedish driver wrote on social media: "The news is out. Official Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 reserve and test driver ❤️ I want to thank everyone who has supported and believed in me so far in this journey. A new beginning🙏🏽😍"

Beganovic is currently competing in his second full season in Formula 2 and has won three races over the past two years. He is currently fifth in the drivers' standings in the feeder series.

He has already taken part in several free practice sessions for Ferrari during Grand Prix weekends. In 2025, he drove the SF-25 in Bahrain and Austria. He also drove Ferrari's '26 car in Barcelona and Austria.

Camara joins Haas F1 for next year

Another Ferrari junior driver's role for next year has also been announced over the past days. Rafael Camara will drive for Haas F1 next year, replacing Esteban Ocon.

The Brazilian said: "I’m very happy to be joining TGR Haas F1 Team as a Formula 1 driver. It’s an important step in my career and I want to thank Gene Haas and Ayao Komatsu for the trust they have placed in me.

"I’m also very grateful to the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy for their support and for everything they have contributed to my development over the years, as well as to my family for always being there throughout this journey. Now my focus is on preparing myself in the best possible way for this new challenge.

"There will be a lot to learn, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the team, understanding the car and continuing to develop as a driver."
