• United stars train: Manchester United players had an open training session this afternoon ahead of their Wednesday night fixture away at Como. It's the third Champions League match of the season, with United having won one and lost one so far. They beat Sabah 4-0 last month, but lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid last week.

• Six players absent: During the opening training session on Tuesday, there was no sign of Kobbie Mainoo, Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Ayden Heaven. On top of that, Leny Yoro was missing from the main group after he was sent off away at Atletico.

• Why they were absent: Mainoo has been missing since last week's Atletico match, and wasn't involved during Sunday's draw against Leeds, as was Shaw. Rashford was on the bench against Leeds, while Martinez played 45 minutes at Elland Road.

• When they are back: Michael Carrick said a thigh injury forced Martinez off at half-time at Leeds, with a return date unknown. Mainoo is making strides towards a return, and could be back this weekend against Bournemouth. Similarly, Shaw isn't expected to be out long-term either. Rashford's condition is currently unknown. Heaven should be back in time for the weekend, while Yoro will serve a one-match European suspension and is also free to play at the weekend.

• Man Utd's fixtures: Having won just two of their first 10 games of the season, United face Como in Italy before hosting Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Their final three games before the November international break see them play Chelsea away, Roma at home and Aston Villa at home.
