Norwich City are in danger of slipping into a relegation battle if they are not careful, as Philippe Clement must find a way to turn the tide at Carrow Road sooner rather than later.
It has not been the start to the season that Norwich would have been hoping for, winning three and losing eight of their 11 Championship games thus far, as the pressure is beginning to increase on head coach Clement.
It's nearly a year since the Belgian replaced Liam Manning at the helm in Norfolk before undergoing a huge upturn in form and staving away any fears of relegation, as now he finds himself in a similar position to that Manning was in.
Norwich opened their season with two defeats on the spin to West Bromwich Albion and Millwall, but winning three of their next four against Burnley, Sheffield United, and Birmingham City reminded everyone what they are capable of.
However, the Canaries have lost their following six games in all competitions since, five of those being in the league, as all of a sudden, Clement is walking a tightrope to save his job.
Only Preston North End have conceded more than their 21 goals after 11 games in the division, as Clement simply must make his defence more watertight over the next block of fixtures, and will be looking to one player in particular to up their game.
Bosnian goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic joined Norwich in the summer of 2025 from Portuguese outfit Sporting CP to become the new number one at Carrow Road, and made 45 Championship appearances in his debut year for the club, according to FotMob, preventing 5.74 goals from going in, among the very best records in the division.
However, this campaign makes for grim reading already, as according to FotMob, the 28-year-old has allowed 4.7 more goals than expected, with no shot-stopper in the division having a worse record than his.
Kovacevic has missed the last two games due to a concussion protocol, though Daniel Grimshaw hasn't exactly covered himself in glory since stepping in, as Clement must be lining up a January addition already if he keeps his job.
With Kovacevic struggling and Grimshaw unlikely to step in to save the Canaries, another goalkeeper ought to be on the cards this January, as Norwich should be considering a move for Celtic target and Blackburn Rovers shot-stopper Balazs Toth.
Toth, 29, has proven himself to be a fine goalkeeper at Championship level over the last year or so, and has attracted interest from Scottish giants Celtic as recently as this summer.

The Hungarian international recently rejected a fresh deal with the former Premier League champions, with his current terms set to expire in the summer, as an exit from Ewood Park appears increasingly likely as time progresses.
Norwich must be on alert to this situation and rival Celtic for the services of Toth, who could help to turn the Canaries' sheer underperformance into an overperformance upon his arrival.
Given his contract situation, Toth won't break the bank, and weakening a direct division rival in the process, his addition ought to be a no-brainer, especially if Kovacevic continues to flounder.
Do you think Toth would be a good addition for Norwich in January? How much should Blackburn realistically be commanding for him? Share your thoughts below!
According to FotMob, Toth prevented 3.19 goals in the Championship for Blackburn last season and, once again, this campaign, is performing above average in this metric.
At 29, he is around the prime age for a goalkeeper and likely still has his best years ahead of him; for a minimal fee, he should be one that Clement seriously considers for January.
Of course, if results continue on the same trajectory as they have been as of late for Norwich, it's unlikely that the Belgian will reach January, but regardless of this, he must be looking ahead to the window just in case, as Toth ought to be high on his list of targets.
